Custom Designed Plectrums - current best deals and all the new funky designs

custom plectrums Nearly every guitarist uses a

guitar pick or a plectrum

. A plectrum for guitars is typically a narrow, isosceles triangle with rounded corners; the most acute angle is the one used to pluck the string. A plectrum can also be called a pick (or a flat pick to distinguish it from fingerpicks). The size, shape and width may vary considerably. Thin items such as small coins or a bread clippers can be used as substitute plectra.

Banjo and guitar players may wear a metal or plastic thumb pick mounted on a ring, and bluegrass banjo players often wear metal or plastic fingerpicks on their fingertips. Guitarists also occasionally use fingerpicks.

Guitarists in the rock, blues, jazz and bluegrass world tend to use a plectrum, partly because the use of steel strings tends to wear out the fingernails quickly, and also because using a plectrum allows for a more 'focused' and 'aggressive' sound. Many guitarists also develop the use of the plectrum and remaining right-hand fingers simultaneously, affording most of the advantages of both techniques. This technique is called "hybrid picking".

Awesome Merchandise produce celluloid and carbon plectrums

. The celluloid picks are gloss finish and hard for a bright sound and carbon matte picks for enhanced grip.

Guitarists have different preferences to thickness and so Awesome Merchandise stock several gages from thin to thick of plectrums as well different colours so that your custom picks are made exactly to your individual needs.

Artwork Guide

TEMPLATES BUTTON PHOTOSHOP TEMPLATE

The starting point and most important aspect of a printing job is your design.
Making sure that your artwork file is sent across to us correctly is crucial...
Colour format: CMYK
File format: PSD, JPEG, TIFF, PDF, EPS, AI

*please note: we don't accept 72dpi files as they are not adequate to create a quality job*

A few tips to get awesome results...
1) Create artwork at 300dpi - the larger and clearer the file, the better it will print!
2) Ideally you would submit artwork as a vector file with the fonts outlined and in greyscale - otherwise a minimum 300dpi image would be suitable.
3)
Remember the size of the printable area - a bold logo looks best, and intricate designs might be too small
4) Your artwork for plectrums is very important because of the process involved - if you require help with this then just contact us...
