Hello everyone!
How are we all? Ready for another instalment in our t-shirt club? Good. Me too. We’ve been sitting on these shirts for a while. Not literally, as we’re really busy at the moment, and sitting down on a bunch of shirts we just made wouldn’t help anyone at all. You may’ve seen the design before as we’ve sent it out as a poster. It’s by our very own Kristyna Baczynski (or K-Baz as she’s known in the rap world) and like the Sean Mort shirt, it’s a cracker! Check it out below.
So let’s promote a bit about Kristyna and how awesome she is! She’s an illustrator, comic book artist and designer of Yorkshire tongue and Ukrainian blood. The first thing to do is to get over to her website and check out all her awesome art. The link is here. She’s got a bunch of things coming up, so I’m gonna link you to them all.
Mythical Creatures – New postcard book, with cover and 2 x postcards by her. All-female artists from the UK.
No Guts No Glory -’New Shoots’ 2-colour screenprint that came out over summer.
Nine Lives – A concertina mini-comic book, self-published. Printed by the good people of Awesome Merchandise, and folded by my poor poor hands.
Comic Strip Tees - Like Threadless, but for comic strips and cartoonists. Her tee was released a couple weeks ago.
Birmingham Zine Festival – She’ll be at Birmingham Zine Festival on Saturday October 13th for an Independent Publishing Fair. She has a table and will be selling all her zines/comics/prints/badges etc and also speaking on a panel about comics + illustration called ‘Make It Then Tell Everybody’ at 2 p.m on the same day.
