Hard enamel badges are made by stamping your designs into your chosen plating before filling the gaps with coloured enamel that is Pantone matched to your artwork. The enamel is added multiple times so that it is raised, before being polished back down to meet the metal plating, giving the hard enamel pin a much sleeker, high quality polished look. When designing your artwork, remember that colours need to be separated by border (thin line of raised metal) to prevent them running into each other.
If you would like to order more than one enamel pin design, we can do this is not a problem! When making your orders, you will need to place each design as it's own separate order with a minimum of 50 per design.
Standard turnaround on enamel pin badges is a minimum of 4 weeks after your order has been approved.
Check out our blog post for more information on the difference between hard and soft enamel.
Colour Format: CMYK
File Format: PSD, AI, PDF, JPEG, TIFF, EPS
File Resolution: 300dpiA few tips to get awesome results...
- Create your artwork with the resolution at 300dpi - the larger and clearer your file is, the better the end result. Please note, we don’t accept 72dpi files as they are not usually adequate to create a quality job.
- Each colour has to be separated by a line of raised metal, the minimum line thickness is 0.2mm, the minimum colour area is 0.3mm
- If you're using text, please set your font to at least 5pt.
- Clearly indicate which areas of your design you would like filling by using the correct colour values along side your artwork - we recommend Pantone Solid Coated guide.
